iPhone 4S

I know hindsight is 20/20, but now that we have seen the 4S, we can se how it follows the 3G pattern. Makes sense to me.

I'd take it as a compliment that there is a perception that Apple could have created such a wide variety of alternatives, and that many were seriously expected.

Webpage

I've created basic landing page for anyone curious enough to follow my email domain. Is there anything else I should put there?

Photoforge2

I've been finding the iPad more and more useful lately. This past weekend I took my DSLR to a karate tournament & played with Photoforge2.

I was a able to download all my shots, edit, and post to Facebook on the spot. All day. And without lugging a laptop, power cables, etc etc etc.

$2 well spent! Highly recommended.

Google+

So I've got myself onto Google+. It looks pretty much like Facebook, but with a few things done a little differently. I don't see why I would switch from one to the other, especially with all my friends on FB already. The few features that seem a little nicer are probably going to be copied by FB anyway... but maybe I haven't played around with it enough to really see the advantages? Maybe after an iPhone or iPad app comes out it might be a little more convenient for me to use?

new favourite iPad reader

Ok... so I know I recently recommended Flipboard. And I still like it! It's pretty. It's a great app if you want to show off what your iPad can do.

However, if you just want to read some news, and want to add your own categories, and find new things instead of just the sites you normally read, check out Zite.

Where's my app?

I'd like to see an iPad technical drawing app using the 'sketch' abilities seen in a number of CAD programs. It would be awesome to be able to use your finger to rough out some ideas, but have lines snap to straight, prompt for dimensions, and generally assume that you were trying to make something that looks professional, instead of like a kid's finger painting. Google SketchUp for iPad would be perfect.

Advertising

Yeah why not? The ads here are supposed to be contextual - i.e. they should relate to things I'm talking about in the posts. So if you're interested in the posts, check out the ads. Maybe click a few. It could earn me half a cent!
